Local chamber picks its most important business person

The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce is holding its 2017 Business Person of the Year Dinner next month.

In order to qualify for this award, the nominee must meet several criteria such as being a current member of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, running a successful business in the city and having had a positive impact on the community.

The evening will start off with a one-hour cocktail reception at 6:00 PM. This will give attendees who run businesses in Lafayette exchange business cards. No doubt many of those who plan to attend will be placing a new business card order with their favorite print company; they will want to be sure that their contact information is current and correct and that they have enough cards to hand out.

This will be followed by dinner and programming. This programming will include the State of the City delivered by Mayor Mark Mitchell, and the 2017 Chamber Board of Directors will also be introduced. The evening will conclude with the presentation of the Business Person of the Year award.

The 2017 Business Person of the Year Dinner will be held at the Lafayette Park Hotel and Spa on January 27 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. To learn more about this event such as the price of tickets and to RSVP, contact the Lafayette Park Hotel and Spa at 925-284-7404.
