The 22nd annual Art and Wine Festival is taking place next month in Lafayette. It is a presentation of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.

There are expected to be over 250 arts and crafts vendors on hand at this year’s festival who will be selling their handmade items, such as jewelry, pottery, and clothing. In addition, Artist Alley will feature the works of local artists for sale. Food will be provided by local restaurants and food trucks, and local wineries and microbreweries will also be selling drinks.

There will be Kids’ Zone set up at La Fiesta Square, which will feature a variety of games, performances, and activities. Tickets for activities will range from $1 up to $5 each.

Music will be provided throughout the day on four stages. Some of those who are confirmed to perform this year are Sunny and the Black Pack, The Bell Brothers, the Steven Ybarra Band, and The Ripplers.

Those who wish to enjoy beer and wine must purchase a festival glass for $7, after which drink tickets are $7 each.

This popular event attracts approximately 80,000 visitors each year and is widely advertised in Lafayette using flyers likely obtained from local printing companies.

The Art and Wine Festival will be held in Downtown Lafayette on September 16 to 17. Admission is free of charge. Call 925-284-7404 for more information.
