Local church hosts free Egg Drop

April 1, 2017 by

A helicopter will be dropping over 50,000 eggs into a local stadium in mid-April for the Generation Church’s annual Easter Egg Helicopter Drop. This promises to be the county’s largest event of its kind.

The colorful plastic eggs will contain prizes, candy and gifts that have been donated by event sponsors. Kids will want to especially look for the golden eggs as they will contain the larger prizes. The littlest ones will get their own Egg Hunts.

Children’s favorite characters will be roaming around the venue greeting the attendees. They, along with the Easter Bunny, will be available for pictures with the little ones. Photo booths will be on the premises for those who want their pictures taken without the rabbit. Many photos will go to local printing companies to be turn into holiday cards. There will also be face painting and a lemonade stand. Families will receive goodie bags as they enter the event.

After the Egg Drop, everyone is invited to stay and watch a baseball game between the Dunedin Bluejays and our own Jupiter Hammerheads.

Even though the event will be free, attendees must get printed tickets in order to get into the stadium. These tickets can be obtained online at the church’s website.

The Egg Drop and baseball game will be Saturday, April 15th at Roger Dean Stadium, 4751 Main Street here in Jupiter. Doors will open at 3:30 pm.
