Annual art show coming soon

October 5, 2016 by

Jupiter’s local neighborhood resource center, El Sol, will be presenting El SolFest, previously known as ArtFest, in a few weeks.

This will be the celebration of the center’s 10th anniversary. The event will be family-friendly and free. Over 1,000 people attended last year.

Artists in genres of photography, sculpture, and painting will be showcasing their talents. There will be more vendors, especially those selling Latin food, on hand this year. The kids’ activities area has been expanded too, and there will be more entertainment and music than ever before.

The night before the event, El Sol will be hosting a cocktail reception and preview of the festival. Guests will be able to stroll through the center’s garden, which will be lit with sparkling lights.

Local artists will have their work on display. Guests and artists will want to bring their digital business cards to exchange pertinent information for custom orders and future contacts.

There will be live music, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. A silent auction of items and services donated by local businesses will also be part of the evening.

The cocktail preview evening will be October 22 from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm. The El SolFest will be the following day, October 23, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Both events will be at El Sol, 106 Military Trail, on the South West corner of Indiantown Road here in Jupiter.
