Jefferson area workshop to teach secrets of camera success

December 18, 2017 by

Beginner shutterbugs from Jefferson who are interested in learning how to get the most from their camera will soon have an opportunity to do just that.

Christie Froom, who is a professional photographer with new Orleans’ Hi Volt Studios, will be sharing secrets of techniques that can lead to great shots. She will provide an overview of a typical camera, and will also discuss the settings, what they mean, and how to use them. Students will learn how they can find the right light for the pictures they wish to take, and they will also be given tips about composition and how to get sharp images.

During the second portion of the workshop, the attendees will participate in a mini-photoshoot that will give them a chance to practice what they have learned, and also ask any questions they might have. Anyone who plans on participating and who has questions they would like to have addressed during the teaching portion of the activity have been asked to submit them to, allowing Froom to include the answers in her lesson plan. Flyers that promote an event like this to anyone in the community who may be interested in taking part can be supplied by an area print company.

This introduction to photography will be held on January 7 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at 7 Bamboo Road in New Orleans. The registration fee for those who wish to take part has been set at $100 each.
