Iconic rock band to launch tour in Indianapolis next year

December 7, 2017 by

The legendary rock band, the Eagles, recently announced their 2018 tour will begin in Indianapolis.

The band plans seven stadium shows on the tour, including one at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The band is one of the best-selling in the world, with hits like ‘Lyin’ Eyes’, ‘Witchy Woman’, and the ever-popular ‘Hotel California’ to their credit. In 1998, the Eagles were nominated for, and inducted into, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The band was founded by Glenn Frey and Don Henley, along with Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner. Frey passed away in 2016, and at that time Henley, along with current band members Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh, asked Frey’s son Deacon, and country-music singer Vince Gill, to join them for concerts. This appears to be the lineup that will perform in Indianapolis.

The first time the Eagles appeared in Indianapolis was in 1972, when they were the opening act for Yes. That concert was at the Coliseum in at Indiana State Fairgrounds. The Eagles will be the only act at the upcoming Indianapolis concert.

The event is scheduled for March 12, 2018, but tickets go on sale soon at 10:00 am tomorrow morning (December 8) via TicketMaster.

Organizers of events like this can consider working with a poster printing company to create posters to advertise the upcoming show, and post them throughout the area.
