Red hot weekend on the way

November 8, 2013 by

This weekend sees the Annual Chili Cook-off, presenting a fundraiser for the whole family to enjoy.

A call for all hot chili cooks has been answered, and digital poster and flyer printing were no doubt among the methods used to share the news of this event with people in the community.

During this event, teams will be competing to see who makes the meanest chili. The fourth time this event has come round, a competitive lineup of teams is expected to compete and to share their spicy chili with people who attend. There will be prizes for first, second, and third places finishers, plus the hottest contender will win up to $200.

The registration proceeds raised will benefit the Boise Rescue Mission. Registration for teams costs $20 (it was available for half price in October). While attending the cook-off, people are welcome to check out some of the great bikes that will be on display throughout the event. Those who think they can bring on the heat with some outstanding chili should move quickly if you want to grab any registration spots that might still be available.

The Annual Chili Cook-off is free to attend and will be held tomorrow, November 9, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at High Desert Harley Davidson located at 2310 E. Cinema Drive in Meridian, Idaho, just a short drive from Boise. To learn more, or to register for this cook off, please visit the High Desert Harley Davidson website or call its office at 208-338-5599, during normal business hours.
