The Shell Houston Open is returning to Humble for a week beginning at the end of this month. It is presented by the Houston Golf Association and the Shell Oil Company.

This is one of the PGA’s most prestigious tournaments, and is set to award over $6.6m in prize money. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to local charities. There will be 144 of the world’s best players taking part in this year’s tournament including Jimmy Walker, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington and Lucas Glover.

There will also be several other tournaments taking place during the week including a Pro-Am tournament and Pro-Junior.

Surrounding the tournaments there will be other events such as the Clay Walker Band against MS Ride, the First Tee of Greater Houston Champions Challenge, a Junior First Tee Challenge, and the Junior Golf Skills Challenge.

Spectators have a choice of viewing areas for the tournament including the Double Decker Sports Lounge’s Bayou Terrace.

This event attracts visitors from all over the state to Humble. Organizers likely work with a favorite print company to produce advertising materials that can be easily distributed.

The Shell Houston Open will take place from March 27 to April 2 at the Golf Club of Houston. Tickets are $45 per day per person or $165 for four. For more information, visit the official event website.
