Free kids’ festival returns for a second year

July 31, 2017 by

The 2nd annual Kingwood Free Kids Festival is taking place next month.

This is a completely free festival that is set to feature various activities to please children and their parents. There will be pony and train rides and a petting zoo, along with carnival rides, games, and special appearances by costumed fairytale and cartoon characters.

The Kids’ Zone will be offering arts and crafts classes, along with several contests such as a water slide and an obstacle course.

Musical entertainment will be provided by artists like DJ MK, Toms Fun Band, and the Kingwood School of Rock. There will also be a vendors’ market featuring local companies selling merchandise, food, and homebased businesses.

There will only be 100 vendors and spaces are still available for rental. Fees are $75 or $100 for a 10 x 10-foot space and $125 or $150 for homebased businesses, $200 for food concessions, and $150 for commercial businesses.

No doubt families from all over the area, including Humble, will be making the short trip to this festival. It is likely that organizers will be working with a local stationery printing company to produce print advertising to be distributed in the community.

The Kingwood Free Kids Festival will be held at Kingwood Town Center Park on August 19 beginning at 10:00 AM. Call 832-708-9478 to learn more.
