Six Flags announces plans for upcoming season

Six Flags Great America, located in Gurnee, recently opened for the summer season, and announced that it is planning a holiday fest, as well as offering rides on the world’s biggest loop rollercoaster.

The holiday festival is known as ‘Holiday in the Park’, and will feature seasonal food, special shows, rides, Christmas trees, over a million LED lights, and decorations throughout the park. In addition, Six Flags plans a tree-lighting event every night, up-to-the-second light shows, special holiday shows, fire pits where people can make s’mores and roast marshmallows, the lights, and an opportunity to take photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Admission to Holiday in the Park is free for season pass holders and park members.

Before that, however, Six Flags will debut its new roller coaster, the Mardi Gras Hangover. The coaster will sit in an area of the park that has a Mardi Gras theme; the ride is a towering 100 feet in height, and has a number of inversions and revolutions that turn a full 360 degrees. Riders will speed backwards and forwards on a huge loop before being turned upside down.

The coaster will open in the summer, while the holiday festival will runs from November 23 through December 23 on weekends. From December 26 through 31, the festival will be held daily.

Changes like this interest many people, so executives might like to work with a brochure printing company to create booklets about the park.
