Gander reopens in Greensburg

Gander Mountain, which is now known as Gander Outdoors, has recently reopened its location in Greensburg.

Gander Outdoors is a chain of stores that has both brick-and-mortar locations and an online presence, and it sells products to people who enjoy being outdoors, whether they are fishing, camping, or playing sports.

After Gander Mountain filed for bankruptcy, its assets were purchased in 2017 by Marcus Lemonis, who stars in ‘The Profit’ on CNBC, and is also the chairman of Camping World Holdings, which owns Gander Outdoors. Lemonis is eager to reopen the stores, and is particularly happy to bring the business back to Greensburg, since the store was a top performer in the chain, the customers enjoyed shopping there, and the employees were superior.

The Greensburg store is at 1040 Town Square Drive, and held an opening celebration in late April. The store offers 31,000 square feet of space stocked with outdoor apparel and supplies; it also brought 55 new jobs to the city. Lemonis says he is currently looking at other locations to reopen and expand.

After winning the bid to buy the bankrupt organization, Lemonis said he intended to operate the stores in such a way they would clearly be profitable, and set another goal of opening 70 locations or more.

Companies like this might consider working with a flyer printing company on a handout for shoppers, to refamiliarize them with the merchandise.
