Finish your shopping at the Costick Center

December 7, 2011 by

If you still haven’t finished your Christmas shopping why not visit the Holiday Expo presented by the Farmington Hills Special Services Department at the Costick Center on December 9-10. This free event has been described by the superintendent of recreation for Farmington Hills as a “one-stop shop” which will feature “things for all ages.”

There will be 65 vendors at the Costick Center; hours are 5-8 pm on December 9 and 9 am-3 pm on December 10. Santa Claus will visit from noon-3 pm on December 10. Items expected to be for sale include hand-crafted gifts, beauty products from brand name vendors such as Avon and Mary Kay Cosmetics, house wares from Pampered Chef, jewelery, clothing, toys, hand-blown glass, pottery and candles. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase throughout both days.

There will also be greeting card and scrapbooking materials for sale such as seasonal stationery; printing companies often create papers that can be useful in scrapbooking. Holiday stationery would make a great present for a friend who is interested in scrapbooking or will come in handy when creating your own scrapbook of your holidays in Farmington Hills.

The Holiday Expo will be a good place to pick up one-of-a-kind gifts for your friends and family. Many are locally produced and created and show the range of artistic talent available in the community. Those from Farmington Hills, or those in far away places, will appreciate a gift that cannot be found anywhere else.
