Gardena parks sponsor Halloween triple threat

October 16, 2016 by

The Parks and Recreation Department of Gardena is looking to make its Halloween extra special with not one, but three Halloweens at the Parks.

The event features lots of holiday-themed fun, with contests, spooky scares, and sweet treats all over the city.

The event is designed to cater to families with children who want to make sure the trick or treat experience is a safe one. The three main parks in Gardena – Freeman Park, Rowley Park, and Fukai – are all being set up with tables where kids can collect candy in their sacks. Some other food and treats will also be provided to visitors.

Additionally each park will have its own unique haunted house. Each will follow a distinct theme, so visiting all three will provide maximum scares. Each park will also have a costume contest, awarding prizes to the best costume in each category. Rowley Park also promises a fun movie and crafts for attendees.

The Halloweens at the Parks will take place from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on October 31 at Freeman Park (located at 2100 W. 154th Pl), Rowley Park (at 13220 S. Van Ness Ave.), and Fukai Park, (at 15800 S. Brighton Ave). Admission is free, though there may be an additional charge for haunted house entry. Anyone interested in more info should check the flyers or contact the city directly.
