Fuquay-Varina spends evening in festive spirit

December 4, 2017 by

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) will be coming to our area in a few days. Presented by the Hallmark Channel, this new Rock Theater performance of ‘The Ghosts of Christmas Eve’ will be reminiscent of the traditional musical powerhouse presented over the years on the Hallmark Channel.

The Ghosts of Christmas Eve is story of a runaway girl who spends the night in an abandoned theater. She is entertained by ghosts performing classical, modern and other traditional Christmas music in a rock and roll style. Some of the songs performed as only this musical group does will be its famous ‘Christmas Canon’ (a new twist to Pachelbel’s Canon in D), a rock version of ‘Silent Night’, ‘Music Box Blues’, ‘This Christmas Day’, and ‘Good King Joy’.

The performance will also include a second set of TSO’s greatest hits, and some newly written pieces.

As in the past 20 years, a percentage of every ticket sold will be donated to local charities.

All Fuquay-Varina fans of the orchestra will want to mark their calendars for December 13 and get their tickets A.S.A.P on the orchestra’s website, or at the PNC Arena box office. PNC Arena is located at 1400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh. This is in West Raleigh near N.C. State University. The curtain is slated to rise at 7:30 pm.
