Fuquay-Varina enjoys art and dance

February 1, 2018 by

Fuquay-Varina is invited to attend the Holly Springs Arts Festival coming later this month. The free festival will be a two-day event.

The first evening will be a dance revue. Dance companies, local choreographers, and a variety of dance styles will be featured. Proceeds from the evening will go to CAFE (Creative Arts for Everyone).

The next day, the festival will focus on visual art displays of young local artists’ work. Members of the artists’ families may wish to take pictures for future poster printing.

Triangle Game Night will be hosting a Scrap Exchange where guests may pick up material for their own projects. Local writers will be holding a book fair and Mr. A’s Beignets and Brooklyn Boy’s Pizza will have food trucks on site.

The finale will be an evening of dance – one dance for kids and another for adults. Kids may be dropped off in Holly A and B and adults can head on into the Theater for dancing to Big Chef – a local rock and roll band. The band will also play country, pop, blues, jazz, and New Orleans R&B.

The festival’s Dance Revue will take place February 9 starting at 7:00 pm. The festival itself will be February 10 starting at 10:00 am and going until 3:00 pm. The Celebration Dance will be Saturday, February 10 starting at 7:00 pm. Everything will be at the Cultural Center, 300 West Ballentine Street, Holly Springs.
