Fair encourages young entrepreneurship

July 11, 2017 by

The Triangle Children’s Business Fair will be a one-day marketing event featuring young entrepreneurs between the ages of six and fourteen.

The children will be marketing their own businesses, products, and services. They will be issued booths and will be selling their goods and services to the public.

To be included in the fair, children have completely planned their own small businesses – from service/product, accounting, and marketing to pricing and set cost of goods. They have summited applications. The applications ask the children what they will be selling, how they will market and advertise their products before the fair, and how success will be determined. A total of 75 applicants will be invited to attend.

Young businesspeople may want to get some business card printing done soon to have cards to exchange with other fledgling entrepreneurs and potential customers.

Three categories with prizes of $50 will be awarded in each of four age groups. The categories will be Best Presentation and Creativity, Highest Business Potential, and Most Original Business Idea.

Young Fuquay-Varina business brains can apply online, and the deadline to do so will be July 23.

The fair will be held at Park West Village, Village Market Place, Morrisville on Saturday, August 19. It will begin at 10:00 am and close at 12:30 pm. Prizes will be given out from 12:30 pm until 1:00 pm.
