Youth, children, and families in the Ft. Lauderdale region are getting ready for the Second Annual Self Esteem Summer Conference. The event features a neuro-linguistic expert and a great deal of stories, wisdom, and energy centered around improving self-esteem in youth and entire families.

The conference will be led by Dr. Simone Alicia. Alicia is a former grade school teacher who possesses a certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She is a member of the Association for Integrative Psychology and gives lectures and one on one coaching all over the country as the ‘Self Esteem Doctor.’

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Living Confidently Where I Belong.’ The conference will begin with a short story based on the theme that will contain a lot of the general lessons and topics for the seminar within it. Dr. Alicia will unpack the story over the remaining three hours, sharing personal affirmations, wisdom, and direction that will help improve self-esteem for people of any age. Afterwards guests will be able to interact with Alicia as well as pick up free booklet printings of ’33 Ways to Reduce Stress and Raise Self Esteem’ and ‘Confidently Where I Belong.’

The Self Esteem Summer conference will be held on June 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, located at 1 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. Admission is free for children and teens and $10 for adults. Anyone looking for more information should visit the website.
