Barbeque restaurant in Frankfort remodels for new look and offerings

A remodeling project is underway at the Smokey Barque in downtown Frankfort, which is not only renovating its interior but changing its name to Trail’s Edge at Smokey Barque and adding a brewery.

Renovations began last month, although no date has been set for the opening of the new restaurant. Tentative plans are scheduled for some time this month.

There will be a new and improved menu along with the renovations. Shrimp taquitos, truffle fires, and calamari will be some of the new featured dishes. The restaurant’s signature barbeque dishes will remain on the menu and include ribs, brisket, and pulled pork, and craft beer will also be served.

There will be live entertainment as well as two private banquet rooms with bars, one which can accommodate between 50 and 130 people and another for smaller groups with fewer than 65 people, for special events. Banquets are available for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Trail’s Edge also provides catering services.

The restaurant will keep its policy of allowing dog owners to bring their pets while they are eating in the outdoor, open-air patio of the restaurant once the warmer temperatures approach.

Banner printing companies can be hired to create banners in the surrounding community so that people learn more about such building renovations and other changes and innovations that can be part of such projects.
