The annual tree lighting at a popular downtown shopping destination is now just a week away.

Sundance Square Plaza is announcing its annual tree lighting ceremony. Everyone is invited to gather around the live 65-foot tree as the switch is hit and the lights bathe the square in a festive glow.

The event is set up to kick start the holiday season and brings many into the downtown area. It will include a live performance from Inspiration Band, who will take the stage at 5:30 PM.

The tree lighting is a public reminder to all business owners in the area to get ready for the rush of customers during the holiday season brings, and to get holiday cards in the mail and to boost their usual order with the printing company.

Many other holiday-themed events will be taking place throughout the plaza area over the next few weeks, including visits from Santa, performances, and a range of other attractions. Kids will be delighted to know that Santa will also be present at the lighting and in the square.

It takes place next Saturday, November 18 from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm. The countdown for the lighting begins at 6:30 pm in Sundance Square at 420 Main Street in Fort Worth. There is no charge to attend the event.
