Fort Worth hosts largest wine tasting event in southwestern United States

Grapefest returns to Grapevine, Texas for its 31st annual event this September.

A large variety of local wines will be available for sampling as well as vintages from across the United States at this popular four-day festival. Grapefest is first and foremost a wine tasting event, but the organizers include a lot of additional activities to help make the festival something everyone can enjoy.

Expected events include a play area for children, food and wine pairing, grape stomping and a golf and tennis tournament. A wine auction, live performances, and a car show are also on the agenda. Applications for vendors are currently only available for the 2018 Grapefest, but this does not mean that local wineries or even private winemakers cannot be a part of the event. Now is a great time to print commemorative labels and have a wine tasting with friends and family. Businesses should get out the promotional drinkware and help their customers get ready for the festivities.

The 2017 Grapefest will run from September 14th through September 17th. Admission is $8 per day for adults and $5 for seniors and children. Children aged five and under are admitted for free. Weekend passes are $18 and a weekend pass on a souvenir pin is $23. Visit the festival website for tickets, to print a 2018 vendor application and for details on all the events.
