Fort Worth Arts Festival coming to Main Street

April 12, 2018 by

An annual event filled with art, food, and music is taking over downtown Fort Worth this month.

The Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival takes place each year and is known as one of the largest arts festivals in the southwest United States. The event has received national attention and awards, including being ranked as one of the Top Ten Arts Festivals by USA Today and a Bronze Grand Pinnacle Award from the International Festivals and Events Association.

The 2018 festivities will include a mile of art from a specially selected group of artists chosen from over 1,200 applicants. Live performances from musical guests will include blues, Celtic, and R&B sounds among many others. Guests can enjoy a variety of food and beverages including the ‘Wine Experience’, a wine tasting event held by In the Sack, The Wine Group, and Chloe Wine Collection.

Any organization or business seeking the best talent in the art world should have their business cards ready to pass out to the collection of talent found at the festival. The popular juried art competition brings in the most unique and creative people from around the world. The work of artists of all types, including those skilled in ceramics, jewelry, and sculpting are expected. Paintings, metalwork, and photographs, as well as many other forms of expression, will also be available to view and purchase.

The festival is located on Main Street in Fort Worth from the Tarrant County Courthouse to the Fort Worth Convention Center. It all takes place from April 19 to 22. The festival and musical performances are free, but coupons are required for food and beverage purchases. Attendees can buy coupons at the event or in advance through the festival website.
