Target begins home delivery in Farmington Hills

People who are busy with careers, family, long commutes, or who simply find shopping at home convenient, will appreciate the new delivery service Target is launching soon.

The retail giant has partnered with Shipt, which handles home deliveries for a number of companies, and will launch same-day deliveries soon in Farmington Hills, as well as several other Michigan cities.

Shoppers can either use an app, or go online to place their orders. At present, the service is used by over two million Michigan residents. An annual membership to the service costs $99, and no delivery fee is charged unless the order is for less than $35, in which case a $7 charge is added. People who join before the service launches will only pay $49, and in addition, they will receive a $15 credit if they spend $100 or more at Target.

John Mulligan, COO and vice president of Target, said when the company was trying to find ways to make shopping simpler for its customers, offering same-day delivery was one of the first things they considered. He added that the service Shipt provides fits perfectly with the type of outstanding products and service Target strives to provide.

Target will introduce its same-day delivery service next Thursday, June 14.

When a company introduces a new concept like this, it might consider working with a flyer printing company on an announcement for residents of the local area.
