Quilt show to leave Everett in stitches

April 10, 2017 by

Quilters and other craft enthusiasts in the Everett area are getting ready for the 2017 Everett Quilt Show.

The two-day event combines celebrations, demonstrations, vendors, and more in one large craft-stravaganza.

The show kicks off with an Opening Night Gala that will serve hors d’oeuvres while guests mix and mingle and talk to some of the expert quilters whose work will be displayed at the show. Many of the quilters present will even show off their technique. Live music will also be provided thanks to the Mountain Dulcimer Club of Bellingham.

The theme of the two-day show is ‘Through the Eyes of a Quilter’, and everything on the agenda is meant to give visitors an insight into the craft of quilting and the benefits and beauty of making quilts. The event will have demonstrations, classes on quilting and other crafts, evening lectures, and vendors selling a variety of crafting supplies for quilting, as well as other needlework hobbies. A full list of classes, demos, and more can be found on the event brochures or website.

The Everett Quilt Show will be held on April 27 and 28 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on both days at the Xfinity Arena and Events Center, located at 2000 Hewitt Ave. Admission is $15 in advance or $18 at the door.
