Everett goes Bavarian at fest

Residents in Everett are leaping into their lederhosen for the annual Everett Sausage Festival. The weekend-long event is a family centered celebration of classic German culture with music, food, and fun.

The heart of the event is the beer garden. The Bavarian Beer Garden will serve a variety of beers as well as a couple different red and white wines from around the world. The Widmer’s Oktoberfest Bavarian Beer Garden Stage will also be set up playing an as yet unannounced lineup of live music. Right next door, the Bavarian Dinner Haus will serve a hearty German-themed dinner with sausage, sauerkraut, and more. Another stage sponsored by Ally’s Pizza will also offer family-friendly music.

Additionally there will be a variety of activities available at the fest. A midway will be set up with carnival rides and games, as well as a number of street food booths. Visitors can also partake of the nonstop rounds of Xtreme Bingo or visit the various arts and crafts booths.

Sponsorships for the Sausage Fest are also available, which include some marketing perks such as the company’s logo design featured prominently on the website and printed materials.

The Everett Sausage Festival will be held on October 7,8, and 9 at the Perpetual Help Church Grounds, located 2619 Cedar St. The festivities will run from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. Anyone interested in more info should visit the website.
