Greek restaurant to say ‘yamas’ to Evanston

Yeero Revolution, a Greek restaurant that boasts on its Facebook page that ‘A Revolution is coming to Evanston’, will open in early November.

According to John Nikolaou, part owner of the restaurant, the name ensures nothing gets lost in the translation of the Greek dish gyro.

As with any restaurant opening, it is likely the owners are obtaining their menus now from a local printing company and putting the finishing touches on the décor inside the restaurant to get ready for the grand opening. The owners have opted to festoon the restaurant with a contemporary Greek décor, providing patrons with a modern dining experience.

As Evanston’s newest restaurant, owners will likely have plenty of patrons ready to get a taste of the traditional Greek options. With a menu of protein items including pork belly, chicken and Angus beef, all meats are gluten free and include no binders, fillers or MSG. The restaurant will also offer a variety of salads and vegetarian plates as well.

The restaurant will also feature a Greek yogurt bar, where patrons can help themselves to a variety of toppings and parings. Currently, the restaurant does not have a liquor license, but has plenty of beverages patrons can choose from, including a Greek Frappe and iced coffee.

The restaurant is located at 1009 Davis Street. Residents can visit the restaurant’s Facebook page for additional information.
