Evanston party to dance in the new year

December 18, 2017 by

This New Year’s Eve, an Evanston enterprise will be taking a step back in time to the ‘70s and ‘80s and everyone is welcome to come and participate in the retro-themed celebration.

The inspiration for this event, according to its organizers, was the late musician David Bowie, and guests are invited to dance into 2018 to music performed by him and a variety of other artists. Music from the ‘80s and ‘70s will be featured, and there will be plenty more going on as well.

Those who attend the party will be able to fill their plates at the buffet, and there will be time to mingle and socialize with friends old and new. A photo booth will be on site to capture the occasion, and at midnight, all of the guests will raise their glass in a salute to the past and a welcome to the future. A print company can be counted upon to supply hats and a variety of other customized party favors for this type of event.

The night of retro themed fun will be hosted by the Whiskey Thief Tavern, which can be found at 616 Davis Street in Evanston. The tickets can be purchased at a price of $35 each, and anyone who would like to purchase one or who needs more information has been asked to visit the venue’s Facebook page.
