Evanston fundraising show set to put a smile on people’s faces

For more than 60 years, the women’s club of Evanston has organized a benefit show to help support various community initiatives, and this year will be no exception.

The club will be partnering with the McGaw YMCA Men’s Residence Program, which will be the beneficiary of the performances. They will be working together to direct, write, choreograph, and act in the show, which will feature a variety of different acts.

The cast of the show will sing parodies of popular songs, and the organizers noted that it will offer a fun experience that they hope will have the audience laughing. The monies raised will be used by the McGaw YMCA to provide housing and other support to men in the community who are in need of a helping hand. Tickets are being offered to the public at a price of $40 each, and anyone who would like to attend can choose the date that best fits their schedule.

The Woman’s Club of Evanston, which can be found at 1702 Chicago Avenue, will be the location for these nights of comedy. There is plenty of parking in the vicinity. A local printer can work with the planners of an event like this to supply it with programs and other promotional products.

The performances of ‘All Things Reconsidered’ will be held throughout the early part of March, and more information about the show can be found on its event listing.
