Evanston conference set to celebrate inclusion

October 28, 2017 by

A theater festival will soon be held in Evanston that will focus on inclusion, meaning what people with different challenges can do and not just on what they find difficult.

Seesaw Theatre will be presenting its second annual Inclusive Theatre Festival, which will be offered as a two-day long conference. The conference will include a variety of programming for the participants to choose from. Opening with Community Day, it will offer a panel of professionals and well as a variety of breakout sessions in which attendees can choose to participate. The Saturday evening will be dedicated to the event’s gala celebration, which is open to anyone who would like to participate.

The next day, attendees will be able to discover more about staging sensory-friendly performances as well as the fundamentals of creating a lesson plan that incorporates creative drama. This will be followed by a wrap up session and more. Logo design and other printing services for a function like this can be obtained from a local printing company.

Evanston’s Norris University Center will serve as the venue for the conference, and those who are interested in attending the free events can select the ones they wish to register for. It will be held throughout the weekend of November 18th and 19th, and more details can be found by contacting christinafaith2019@u.northwestern.edu.
