The Evanston Art and Big Fork Festival will take place on the last weekend of September. Presented by Amdur Productions, this popular festival attracts approximately 35,000 visitors each year.

There are expected to be more than 130 artists who will be selling such items as paintings, sculpture, handmade jewelry, ceramics, furniture, and decorative accessories. The artists will also be competing for several awards, including Best of Show and Outstanding Achievement. Applications are still being accepted and the deadline is September 29. The cost is $460 for a 10 x 10-foot space plus a $35 application fee and $25 jury fee.

There will also be children’s art projects like spin art and coloring and musical entertainment from groups such as Ham in the Grass, the Evanston School of Rock and the Million Dollar Quartet. Organizers are also accepting applications for performers.

Evanston restaurants will be on hand to provide samples of their food to the public, and there will also be beer and wine for purchase.

Sponsorships are available and sponsors will likely be recognized at the event on signs or banners provided by an Evanston print company.

The Evanston Art and Big Fork Festival will be held from September 30 to October 2 around 800 Church Street. Admission is free. To find out the latest information about this event, call 847-926-4300.
