Annual festival scheduled for mid-May

The 39th Annual Manifest festival has been scheduled in Covington, about nine miles from Erlanger.

This festival is a German celebration to welcome the spring. It attracts about 125,000 people annually.

The Manifest festival is located along six blocks in downtown along Promenade, Main, and Goebel Park. It is an ideal location for the arts and crafts, food, children’s activities, and entertainment.

The Kinderplatz is an area with activities for kids. It has games and rides, face painting, and has been expanded this year. Every year, the event have a Street Chalk Art Contest on Saturday.

This year, there are plans to have guided tours of the clock tower, which shows how it works. The streets will be filled with arts and crafts vendors with leather goods, jewelry, paintings, photography, furniture, toys, and quilts.

Retailers and restaurants line the streets with food and sell many different products. The musical entertainment will have German music and dancing and different bands.

Hours of the festival are Friday from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Saturday noon to 11:00 pm, and Sunday noon to 8:00 pm.

Erlanger has print shops that can help restaurants, retail stores, cafes, associations, clubs and local business with business card printing and design for everyday use.

The event will be held over the weekend of May 18, 19, and 20.
