El Cajon welcomes new burger joint

March 10, 2018 by

Little Big Burger (LBB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chanticleer Holdings, Inc., has opened a store in El Cajon.

LBB was founded in 2010 in Portland, Oregon, and offers a limited, simple menu of truffle fries, burgers cooked-to-order, beer, soda, and root beer floats. The fast-casual restaurants focus on fresh food served in a trendy setting, which has won them a following in the Pacific Northwest.

Larry Spitcaufsky is the manager of the new El Cajon eatery, and will be familiar to many businesses as he is also on Chanticleer’s board of directors. He also operates over 10 restaurants in the Los Angeles and San Diego regions, but this is the first LBB in Southern California. Spitcaufsky says he is excited to see Chanticleer’s hard work pay off with the opening of the new restaurant, adding that he has a great team and a good brand.

The El Cajon LBB is located in the Parkway Plaza Mall. A second LBB is now being built in Mission Viejo, which is about a 90-minute drive from San Diego but considered part of the San Diego market area. The Mission Viejo store should open April 1.

When stores like this open, managers might consider distributing promotional products to early customers, both as a thank you and as a method of increasing brand awareness.
