Vegan feast coming to Edison

March 25, 2017 by

Anyone in Edison or the surrounding area who is curious about vegan foods has a chance to find out what they’re like, and what’s new in the world of vegetarian dining, when a vegan festival comes to Edison during the summer.

Over a hundred local and national exhibitors are expected to attend. The event is the first Tri-State Veg Fest, which is not to be confused with the yearly New Jersey VegFest, which will be held several months later.

Attendees will be able to enjoy cooking demonstrations, sample wines at a happy hour, listen to music, and nibble on free samples from vendors that highlight cruelty-free products and the vegetarian cuisine that is part of this lifestyle. Activities are also planned for children.

Among those products that will be available for sampling are gluten-free, non-GMO snacks made by Rhythm Superfoods, Daiya’s dairy-free products, vegan meals supplied by Macro Vegetarian, cold-pressed organic juices of various types from Suja Juice, and organic tea and coconut water supplied by Harmless Harvest.

The event lasts a full day, and is scheduled for June 17 at the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center in Edison. Admission is $15, with children under 12 free.

Events like this can benefit if organizers work with a flyer printing company, which can create handouts for attendees that list the vendors and their products, as well as their location in the venue.
