Easton brewery to unveil its latest creations

Easton beer lovers who are interested in sampling some barrel-aged brews are invited to come to a weekend long event that will give them a chance to try some of Weyerbacher’s latest offerings.

Super Barrel Weekend, which will be held in late January, will be the brewery’s salute to these libations, and guests who come to its tap room will be treated to some of their favorites, as well as a wide assortment of trial and experimental blends.

Many of the offerings that will be on tap have been aged in bourbon barrels, which will impart a unique character to the beer. Funky Monks Julip will include notes of lime and mint, and will also be barrel aged. The organizers noted that one of the selections will be aged in fruit casks, and is so new that they haven’t even had a chance to come up with a name for it.

Two different sessions are planned for Saturday, and one will be held on Sunday. Along with all of the special offerings, each will include two beers that have been selected for the occasion. Food will be available, and live entertainers will also be on site. Promotional drinkware for an event like this can be provided by an area printer.

This salute to some of the latest in barrel aged beers will be held in The Tap Room at Weyerbacher Brewing in Easton on January 27 and 28. More information can be found on the venue’s website.
