Local library to host slumber party with a twist

June 28, 2017 by

A special sleepover has been planned for the East Northport area that will see kids and their favorite stuffed toys enjoying night out at the library.

Kids, siblings, and parents alike are welcome to attend the Stuffed Animal Sleepover. Those who participate will come to the library on a Friday night along with their fuzzy friend, and once everyone has arrived, they will be treated to a reading of a special story that has been selected just for the occasion.

When it’s time for the evening to draw to a close, the people will go home for the night, but their stuffed companions will have free run of the facility. The kids who took part will have a chance to hear all about their adventures when they come to pick them up the next afternoon at 1:00 pm. This activity is being offered on a free-of-charge basis, and while registration isn’t necessary, the number of spaces available is limited. Digital copying can be utilized to make copies of coloring sheets and other handouts that can be used during a function like this.

This evening of after-hours library fun has been planned for July 14 from 7:00 pm until 7:30 pm, and the children will come back at 1:00 pm the next day to pick up their toy and find out about how they spent the night. Half an hour has been allotted for this portion of the activity, and more information can be found on the Northport-East Northport Public Library’s website.
