East Northport residents asked to run for the hungry

Residents of East Northport have been asked to show their support for an event that will raise funds for those in need throughout the local area.

The Little Cow Harbor Four Mile Run for HOPE, which will include both a four kilometer regular run or walk and a kids fun run, is being held to raise money to help operate a mobile soup kitchen, supply free meals to the hungry and food drives to help the less fortunate.

Runners or walkers will be greeted with a free bowl of hot soup at the finish line, and there will also be raffles, and prizes given to the top three winners in the different age categories for both male and female. In addition to all of this, participants will be treated to a pasta party on the day when the race bibs will be distributed. The organizers of an event like this will often call on print companies to supply them with all the printed items they need to make a day like this a success.

The race has been planned for the morning of March 4th, with the staging area to be set up at Oldfield Middle School in Greenlawn. Anyone who is interested in signing up to take part of who simply wishes to find out more is invited to visit the event’s website for further details.
