Southgate author meet-and-greet set for weekend

The author of a book about the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire in 1977 will be part of the lineup at the Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival. Taking place this weekend, many folks from the local area are likely to attend.

The book, which captivatingly explores the events of the destructive and tragic fire in Southgate nearly four decades ago, has proved to be popular in many areas of the state though; not just right here. It has had greater appeal countrywide.

The festival offers far more to fans of reading; now in its seventh year, it runs through the day. Taking place at the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati, two other local authors have also already been confirmed for the event. Poster printing is no doubt being prepared in the hope of getting as many people attending as possible.

As well as being the writer of a book about the fire, Robert Webster will also be able to discuss his role at the Kenton County Historical Society, in which he is vice president.

Also on the panel of authors will be non-fiction author and Northern Kentucky University English professor Robert K. Wallace. He will be joined by Molly Wellman, the writer of ‘Handcrafted Cocktails’, who puts her words into practice regularly at the Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar in Covington, which she co-owns.

Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival is on Saturday October 12, starting from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
