On a recent Saturday near Richmond, people met to enjoy dinner, dancing, and a chance to raise money for a good cause.

Held on March 3, the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation Gala brought in almost $30,000. The funds raised will go to the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation, which is part of KentuckyOne Health. This year marked the fifth year in which the gala and fundraiser took place.

Along with dinner and dancing, the evening included an auction and the presentation of awards. Gala organizers can use flyer printing to let attendees know of the plan for the evening.

Among the award recipients was Dr. Patrick A. Kelleher, who works at the Berea Clinic of Internal Medicine. He has served the area for over 30 years and received the Physician Service Award.

Speaking to the Richmond Register, the chair of the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation, Stephanie Moore, spoke to the organization’s delight at honoring Dr. Kelleher.

The money raised during the gala will mainly be put towards the purchase of equipment for the Saint Joseph Berea Sleep Clinic. Some of the fund will go towards improving patient care services, advancing clinical research, improving caregivers’ education, and increasing access to medical care in the community.

Cumberland Valley National Bank, Team Health, and Citizens Guaranty Bank were among the organizations that sponsored the gala.
