School run gains a new meaning

February 13, 2014 by

The Valentine Run for Knowledge is an upcoming fundraising event with all proceeds going towards the expenses incurred for the North Laurel High School’s 7th annual Academic Banquet.

Banner printing and flyer printing may have been used to let this community know about this fundraising road race, as well as those in surrounding regions.

This event has been divided into categories for all age groups and award medals will be presented to the top runners in each of them. There will be a trophy presentation to the overall top finishers for male and female groups. This is a 5k road race that will take place on the school’s campus, and the school will provide an indoor facility for participants to stay warm both before and after the race has been run.

Pre-registered runners will receive a T-shirt, although those who do not register are not guaranteed one. Race day registration begins at 8:00 am, so it is a chance to support local academics.

Registration for the road race costs $25 per person, and parking is free. The Valentine Run for Knowledge will be happening on Saturday, February 15, starting at 8:00 am with registration, followed by the road race at 9:00 am at the North Laurel High School located at 1300 Hal Rogers Parkway in London, Kentucky. To learn more about the race, or to register online, visit the school’s website.
