Antique showcase becoming an antique itself

October 9, 2013 by

This weekend, the long-running Athens Schoolhouse Antique Show will feature a large number of antiques and collectibles all housed under one roof.

Now celebrating its 26th year, this antique showcase has come to the attention of some of the region’s best and most discerning dealers and features some of the most attractive European and American furniture, handbags, glassware, and plate services. The show has a number of organized spaces, is located in a truly stunning historic setting, and offers customers free parking. Bus parking is also available for those traveling in groups.

With plenty of items up for showcasing, it seems likely that organizers and perhaps antique dealers will have been on the lookout for local catalog printing services, so that perusing guests can have a full, easy-to-view breakdown of all the exhibits and can find a piece that interests them quickly.

While visiting the show, guests can take time out to enjoy some tasty treats at the Back Door Café, located within the building. Here, there is a selection of soups, sandwiches, and desserts to tempt hungry bellies.

Admission is $2 each day with children under 12 admitted free of charge. The Collectibles and Antique Showcase will be held on Sunday, October 13 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Athens Schoohouse located at 6270 Athens Walnut Hill Pike in Lexington, Kentucky; just a short drive down the road from London.
