September run to make superheroes of everyone

August 22, 2017 by

The CASA Superhero Run is taking place in Lexington next month. It will be a fundraiser for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

The run consists of a 5K and a 1K Kids’ Run. Fees are $30 for the 5K, which includes a T-shirt, and $20 for the 1K, in which all children aged 12 and under will receive a runner’s cape.

Runners can also collect pledges from friends and family, and there are several incentive prizes for fundraising levels. Participants can also purchase extra capes and T-shirts for $15 each, or a sweatshirt for $25.

There will be miniature superhero figuresalong the running course that competitors can collect for prizes at the end of the race. There are also set to be costume competitions for kids, adults, pets, and teams. Food and drink will be available for purchase too.

After the race, there will be plenty of children’s activities such as games, inflatables, and face painting. There will also be a make your own superhero mask and comic activity.

Lexington printing companies are frequently asked to provide bibs and pledge forms for events such as this.

The CASA is an advocate for abused and neglected children and often stands up for them in court.

The CASA Superhero Run will be held at Kentucky Horse Park on September 9 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 noon. Call 859-246-4313 for the most current information.
