Lexington ready to wine and dine

February 26, 2013 by

The 8th annual Kentucky Bluegrass Wine Auction and Derby Gala will be held in a matter of weeks in Lexington.

The derby is the country’s only event that combines wine and equestrian culture into an evening of great fun. The Bluegrass Wine Auction and Derby Gala is presented by the Lexington Cancer Foundation. Proceeds from the event benefit the foundation’s ongoing research and care efforts.

Included in the gala activities will be wine tastings, silent and live auctions, and dinner. The Right On Band will perform live after the auction has concluded. Vintners from across the land are participating in the wine-tasting segment this year, offering some of the finest wines available.

As sponsorships are a main focus for fundraising events of this type, frequently local printing companies are asked to prepare materials to reflect these sponsors. Catalog printing is an effective method to list and acknowledge sponsors. Images, logos, and company information can neatly be included in the catalog, along with other pertinent information about the event.

Space is limited and tickets are on sale now through the event website. The cost is $800 per couple or $900 per couple to include being seated at a table with a vintner.
The event is being held on May 2 at the Donamire Farm. Vintner pouring and the silent auction will begin at 6:00 pm and take place through 8:00 pm. Dinner, along with the live auction, will occur from 8:30 pm until 10:00 pm. Entertainment begins at 10:00 pm with dancing until 1:00 am.
