Rages to Riches is performing life on stage as of the Black History Month festivities taking place. No doubt brochure printers have been given work to do in promoting this morning performance to people in the city and the surrounding regions, with print companies offering services like flyer and poster printing also likely to be involved.

During this appearance, the audience will enjoy a program that offers early jazz, blues, and ragtime from 1895 to 1932 period. As part of the performance, the audience will view a slide show that studies American musical roots and heritage.

Some of the musical tunes featured will include numbers from Eubie Blake, Jelly Roll Morton, W. C. Handy, James Reese Europe, and Scott Joplin, all United States composers and musicians. There will be information on how some Cincinnati composers contributed to this select genre of great music. After the performance, there will be a question-and-answer period.

Admission to this event is free, although space is limited and registration is required. Rags to Riches will perform on Wednesday, February 26, starting at 10:00 am at the Florence Baptist Church at Mount Zion located at 642 Mount Zion Road in Florence, Kentucky.
