Sizzling hot event to fire up December

November 18, 2013 by

The upcoming Bourbon and Bacon festival will be presented by City Barbeque, with experts from across Kentucky participating. Attendees are expected to come from local surroundings, as well as nearby communities such as Crescent Springs and Erlanger.

Local restaurants will showcase their best swine dishes loaded with bacon. Diners should be prepared for an abundant supply of bourbon samples to wash the bacon dishes down smoothly. Some of the samples include OYO and Four Roses.

Some of the best known entities will be on hand, including Camp Washington Chili, Star Lanes, Django Western Taco, Green Dog+Buzz, and Greco’s. The sounds of live jazz will swing throughout the event.

The Bourbon and Bacon festival is also raising funds to benefit the Carnegie and The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The event will take place December 5 at the Carnegie in Covington from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm.

The Carnegie is known to inspire and play upon creativity in the community, and it houses the Eva G. Farris Education Center, the Otto M. Budig Theatre, and the Carnegie Galleries within its dome.

Constructed in 1904, originally as a library, the iconic building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It became the Carnegie in 1972 and retained the full-scale auditorium.

Flyer printing is an effective way to communicate upcoming events and attractions. A local print company will provide guidance and recommendations to assist in the most effective way to print the flyers.
