Time for tulips near East Brunswick

March 27, 2017 by

April showers bring spring flowers, and residents of East Brunswick are invited to come out and enjoy some of the first blooms of the season in Rutgers Gardens.

The afternoon’s activities, which are being offered courtesy of the sponsorship of Alpha Zeta, will be family friendly and offer something for people of all ages. The kids can have their faces painted, enjoy creating arts and crafts projects to take home with them, and have novelty photos taken of themselves in the Funny Photo Booth. There will also be egg hunts scheduled to start every half hour, along with food to enjoy.

The adults in the crowd will be treated to a live performance in the Pavilion by the Trenton Education Dance Institute. The dancers will be performing different dances from all over the world, to the accompaniment of traditional and modern music. A printing services company can supply banners, decorations, volunteer T-shirts, and any other printed items that can help to make a day like this a success.

According to the fraternity that is organizing the day’s activities, it will be just one of several they will host throughout the year. It also takes part in other service activities in the gardens, and monies raised through donations from those who attend its Spring Festival will be used to help pay for the landscaping and other upkeep of the grounds.

The celebration of spring will take pace in Rutgers Gardens on April 9, starting at 12:00 noon. There is no cost to participate, but all donations will be welcome. Additional details can be found on the facility’s website.
