East Brunswick area festivities will celebrate its firefighting history

May 6, 2018 by

This year will mark the Aberdeen Township Hose and Chemical #1 firefighting unit’s 100th year, and to celebrate, it has planned a community parade which East Brunswick residents are welcome to enjoy.

The festivities will be bringing together fire departments, firefighting equipment, pipe and drum bands, military bands, emergency services personnel and first responders, horse drawn carriages, and many others in a procession. The public has been asked to come out and cheer them on and show support for these local heroes.

The various entries in the parade will be judged, and a trophy will be awarded in the different categories that will be organized. Specially crafted awards from a printing services provider can be distributed to those who participate in an event like this to thank them for their involvement.

Following the procession, the community is invited to head to the Cambridge Ball Field, and here the fun will keep on going. Live entertainment food, a kid’s zone, and lots of other activities will all be offered and everyone is welcome to join in the fun with their friends and neighbors.

This celebration of some of the areas heroes will be held on June 9, and it is set to begin at 12:00 pm in Aberdeen. Anyone who is interested in finding out more or adding an entry to the parade can do so through the Aberdeen Township Hose and Chemical #1’s website.
