Personal trainers, coaches, dieticians and athletes may wish to mark their calendars for an upcoming Duluth event that has been planned just for them.

The Nutrition for Sports, Exercise & Weight Management – What Really Works and Why workshop will be facilitated by exercise physiologist John Ivy PhD and sports nutrition expect Nancy Clark MS, RD. They will be presenting the latest information about sports nutrition as it applies to both professional and amateur athletes, and also those who are just interested in personal fitness.

An assortment of topics will be covered, and the event is intended to both improve participants’ knowledge of sports medicine and nutrition, and also increase their confidence when they are counseling others in this area. When they have competed the workshop, its organizers have planned that those who took part will walk away with a set of tips and messages they will be able to pass on to others who can use them. An enterprise that supplies printing services will be able to provide manuals and other materials for an event such as this.

January 21 and 22 have been selected as the dates for the seminar, which will be held at the Gwinnett Medical Center in Duluth. Tickets start at $169 for one day and $257 for both, and a reduction is being offered to students and nonprofessionals who are interested in sports nutrition and exercise. They can be purchased through the Eventbrite page.
