During the February school vacation week, several activities and events are taking place in Leominster.

The fifth annual restaurant week will be hosted by the city of Leominster. Many local businesses will be featuring various promotions and discounts so that those in nearby Devens will not want to miss out on this special event.

The small business coordinator for Leominster, Melissa Tasca, said that many of the same businesses are returning this year and there will also be some new ones so people will have many options from which to choose. Ten restaurants will be participating and include Texas Roadhouse, Christina’s Restaurant, and Tim’s Diner.

City Hall will be host to an indoor drive-in tomorrow, February 23. Kids will first build a car for sitting in beginning at 5:15 p.m. and then will watch the movie “Zootopia”, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are free and pizza and other snacks will be provided during the screening.

On Saturday February 25 beginning at noon, the city’s Recreation Department will host a demonstration by volunteers from the Office of Emergency Management of an ice rescue using their hovercraft. Children will be offered a guided story walk and snowshoeing will be available for hikers.

The city might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to promote these activities to the community by means of banners and posters.
