Danbury jams with bands at local fall festival

Connecticut’s Harvest Jam will be in full swing in a couple of weeks. This event will be an outdoor country music fest and will be appropriate for all ages.

Musical guests will be the nationally acclaimed James Otto, who is known for the country chart-topping song ‘Just Got Started Lovin’ You’, song-writer producer Mike Collins and his band, and Danbury’s own Whitewood Band. Opening for Otto will be singer/songwriter AJ Jansen.

Vendors are continuing to sign up for the event. Some of these that have already registered are Storm Guard, Ireland on the Road, Ridgefield Bach to Rock, Danbury Alfa Romeo Fiat, Danbury Tattoo, and Danbury Dental Implant Center. These vendors will be selling promotional products, passing out discount coupons, handing out giveaways, and no doubt distributing informational flyers.

Food vendors will also be on site. O’Deen’s will be selling its special BBQ, while the Tiger’s Den will be vending tacos, wings, brews, and ciders. Spacey Tracey’s Gourmet & Fried Pickles will be offering many varieties of pickles, peppers, carrots, jellies, and spreads.

Tickets are $15 before the event and $20 on event day. Kids two years of age and under will get in free of charge.

Harvest Jam will be Saturday, October 14 from 1:00 until 7:00 pm at Ives Concert Park, 43 Lake Avenue Exit, Danbury.
