Recreational park opening with a splash near Dallas

January 7, 2018 by

Dallas-Fort Worth area residents will soon have a new place to play, with the opening of the Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark in Grand Prairie.

Less than 15 miles from Dallas, the new facility will celebrate its opening with all the flourishes one would expect of such a highly anticipated event. Prizes will include an annual pass for the first 50 in line and a $100 gift card to the next 50 people. The gift cards can be used to purchase the park’s promotional products. Annual passes will be awarded only to those over three years old and are nontransferable.

Epic Waters, an indoor-outdoor venue, will feature a retractable roof, making it accessible all year round. In addition to the water park, the recreation center also features indoor tracks, fitness equipment, and two miles of trails, as well as a 5,000-seat amphitheater, a recording studio, and a digital library.

The date to remember is January 12. The parking lot gates open at 8:00 am for those who wish to hang out and line up for giveaways and prizes. Doors open at 5:00 pm and no sleepovers will be permitted, nor arrivals prior to 8:00 am.

The water park will feature nine water slides, among which will be the country’s tallest indoor aqua loop (Lasso Loop) and the first double rider slide (the Aquanaut). Other water attractions will be an outdoor wave pool, an activity pool, a lazy river, and an arcade.
