Paula Deen, nicknamed ‘The Queen of Southern Cuisine’, has chosen Fairview as the location for her first Lone Star State restaurant.

Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, known for traditional Southern food served family-style, is adding Fairview to its other locations: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. A second Texas location is already being planned for San Antonio.

In a statement, Deen said:

“I adore all of my fans in Texas, and bringing my Southern cooking to the Lone Star State is something I have dreamed about for years. This is the perfect place to bring together family, friends, and great Southern food—three of my favorite things!”

The new eatery has room for 250 diners and additionally contains its own Paula Deen Store. This contains items for sale from Deen’s kitchen, home and lifestyle collections and will help make the location a destination for residents of Dallas 30 miles away. Some Dallas companies will likely contact the Paula Deen Store to see if they can customize some of her products to use as corporate gifts.

Deen’s menu includes southern favorites such as southern fried chicken, for which she is well-known, spare ribs, cheesy meat load, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. A variety of family favorite deserts are available as well.

The new establishment is situated inside Fairview Town Center and will hold an official grand opening there April 20 and 21.
